Tom Jewell will recount the tragic train wreck that occurred in Amherst on a foggy morning, March 29, 1916. This devastating collision of three trains claimed 27 lives, injured 47, and brought countless heroic efforts to light. The event left a lasting impact on our community and even has a surprising connection to Mary Pickford, the iconic silent film actress.
